Another set of Office 2010 feature videos that we produced has been posted to YouTube. These same videos are now also up on GetSharp...

The latter video highlights one of my favorite PowerPoint 2010 features: the ability to trigger effects (e.g., animations) from a video bookmark. It shows another way to create visually impactful presentations with PowerPoint 2010.

Microsoft posted four more of our Office 2010 feature videos on YouTube yesterday, with each one showcasing a different application. I published the videos to GetSharp earlier today...

You might notice that the SharePoint Workspace video is a little longer than most of the other videos we have posted thus far. With SharePoint Workspace being new (well, a newer version of Groove), it was felt that more context was needed for the user to understand what was happening in the video.

There are still more of these feature videos to come...

Office 2010 Videos: Part 1

Microsoft demonstrated many of the new Office 2010 features this week at the Worldwide Partner Conference. Some of these feature demos were converted to 30-to-60-second vignettes and posted to YouTube. 3Sharp produced many of these vignettes, and I published a few of them to GetSharp as well...

Office 2007 Marketing Videos

I just uploaded three marketing videos to GetSharp showing features in the 2007 Microsoft Office system:

At first glance these might seem unspectacular, given how late we are in the 2007 release cycle. These videos, however, are essentially a tease for feature videos related to Office 2010, which we will be uploading in the near future.

Vista and Office Beta Experience Newsletter

3Sharp gets some nice exposure in the MSDN Windows Vista and Microsoft Office Beta Experience Newsletter. In Issue 6, some of the 2007 release hands-on labs that we originally developed for PDC05 are listed. They are available as Beta 2 virtual labs on MSDN.

In addition, it appears that Issue 5 has been updated to include the building permit application solution that I started writing about in June. Like the virtual labs, this hands-on lab is also set up for Beta 2. There is a download available that includes the database, form template, and data connection files used in the solution. Unfortunately, there are no setup instructions included with the lab. So, if you run into any problems, feel free to drop me a line.

Microsoft Office System Developers Conference 2006

Microsoft continues to get a lot of mileage out of the 2007 Microsoft® Office release hands-on labs that we originally developed last September. At the Microsoft Office System Developers Conference 2006, to be held March 21-23 in Redmond, WA, you can play around with the same labs that I described in previous posts for PDC05 and TechReady2. This time around, we even added a lab that focuses on workflow functionality. So, if you are looking for some hands-on experience with the 2007 release, check out some of these labs (HOL05 and HOL11-HOL21).

TechReady2 Hands-On Labs

For those of you attending TechReady2 next month in Seattle, you can see some of our work in the hands-on labs that relate to Office "12". The 3Sharp staff again worked with Scott Jamison to refresh many of the pre-beta labs that we developed for PDC05. These Beta 1 labs are centered on the new development features of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and InfoPath. We also updated the lab that shows how you can access Groove Web Services 2.0 in a Windows Forms application. So, if you are looking for some hands-on experience with Office "12" or Groove, check out some of these labs (IWHOL301-IWHOL308 and IWHOL316).

PDC05 Hands-On Labs

Unfortunately, many of the 3Sharp resources (myself included) will not be in Los Angeles next week for PDC05. However, for those of you who will be there, you can see some of our work in the hands-on labs that relate to Office "12". The 3Sharp staff worked closely with Charles Maxson and Scott Jamison to develop 11 labs (each about 20-30 minutes in length) centered on the new development features of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and InfoPath. We even had a hand in developing content for a Groove lab. So, when you are not busy attending sessions, check out some of these labs.
