A moment of introspection

Last night, I posted some thoughts on my first two years at 3Sharp on my personal blog. This morning, I realized that they would be perfectly suitable here as well. Rather than cut and paste, I'll just link you to the original posting and let you read it there.

Back when I was brand spanking new in the tech industry, a young programmer told me "how you can tell the good people in this business is that they always ask questions and they're never afraid to admit they don't know something." This simple statement was a revelation to me, and was my mantra for my first years in the tech writing business. The person who said that to me was none other than one John P.

Lately I've been looking for a new mantra. It might be time to dust this one off again.

Oh, and happy anniversary!

Thanks! And yes, that is definitely a quality that John, Peter, and Paul all have. It is wonderful to work in an environement where you have that freedom, given by example from the top down.

Oops, looks like the commenting system doesn't want me to do HTML. Oh well, you all get the idea.
